Once, when asked to define the style Dabang Band played in, bassist Sunghwan Jung replied, “Country cyber-funk.” The response made a funny kind of sense: not only was our base of operations, Jeonju, considered “countryside” by most Seoul denizens, but we also took a lot of trips into nature to charge our musical batteries. Here are shots from a trip to the beach, a fishing trip, and a trip out into the deep countryside of Jeolla Province.
